SACRED MELODIES MORE THAN JUST A CATHOLIC CHORAL GROUP

AWARD-WINNING Catholic choral group, Sacred Harmonies, have taken a major stride in their career by helping some young artists to release a new single.

The 14-member group recently released a single titled ‘Omberai Kudenga.’

The group’s chairperson-cum-manager, Dzikamai Mutandwa, said their latest offering has themes that addresses hope, love and redemption.

He said the group has plans to release several more singles this year.

“Our main aim as a group is to teach the youths in our society, as you know we are now living in a world where drugs are being abused.

“‘Omberai Kudenga’ has also touched the hearts of non-Catholics, who have been moved by the song’s universal themes of hope, love, and redemption.

“The song’s ability to transcend denominational boundaries has been a testament to the power of music to unite people across cultures and faiths.

“So, as Sacred Harmonies, we want to fight that syndrome, as you can see we have 14 youths in our group,” he said.

Founded in 2021, they have one album and five singles to their name.

“We have an exciting line-up of new music in store for our fans this year.”

They have also promised to deliver a level of spiritual depth and musical excellence that has come to define their sound.

Sacred Harmonies continue to spread divine melodies, uplifting audiences and solidifying their position as a leading force on the gospel musical scene.

Sacred Harmonies won their first award in 2023, after scooping the number one spot at the ZBC Classic 263 end-of-year Gospel Top 50.
