SOUTH African Football Association (Safa) has ordered Ajax Cape Town striker Tendai Ndoro to stop playing immediately following an arbitration hearing earlier this week.
This comes after the Mzansia��s Premier Soccer League lodged a protest against its own Dispute Resolution Chambera��sA� (DRC) ruling that declared Ndoro eligible to play, despite FIFA rules stating otherwise. Ndoro has played for Orlando Pirates, Saudi Arabian club Al Faisaly as well as Ajax Cape Town this season, contravening FIFAa��s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
Ndoroa��s former club Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City had lodged a protest with the PSL arguing that Ajax Cape Town had contravened Fifa rules by fielding the player. Advocate Nassir Cassim SCA� heard the arbitration case on Monday, before reserving judgement until Wednesday.
Cassim SC has ruled that the PSL DRC does not have jurisdiction over the said matter, and thus referred the matter to the world football governing body.
