IT is open season for musician Sandra Ndebele, who recently released Zvandiremera featuring celebrated producer Mr Brown as an appetiser to her much anticipated second edition of “Denim on Pearls,” slated for January 24.
Set to be held at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES) Hall 2, the show will also serve as Ndebele’s belated birthday celebration.

Last year, the party was headlined by a South African contingent comprising Afro Pop duo the Qwabe Twins —Virginia and Viggy — alongside renowned DJ, record producer and Afrotainment boss, DJ Tira.
Durban’s Finest flavour will ignite the show once more this year, with Dladla Mshunqisi taking top billing alongside award winning Muso Bhila of Emaweni fame, as well as Insimbi ZeZhwane.
Supporting the line up on the decks will be wheel spinners DJ Prince Eskhosini, DJ Nospa, DJ Eugy and Crazy Dee.
The Pakisha and Puku Puku hitmaker Mshunqisi has already raised expectations, assuring Bulawayo revellers of an electrifying performance when he said, “it’s going to be a killer night on Saturday, and I can’t wait to see you.”
Hosted by Sandy — as the birthday queen is affectionately known — alongside the vivacious Zazalicious, the event is more than a celebration; it is a statement that reflects Sandy’s vision for Bulawayo’s entertainment landscape.

She said the inspiration behind the uniquely themed affair stems from her love for denim outfits, noting they are a common wardrobe staple that almost everyone owns.
“The event was inspired by the need to curate events that stand out in Bulawayo, events that speak to the people’s needs and a show business where people feel comfortable and safe when they are having fun, especially ladies.
“The whole idea behind ‘Denim on Pearls’ is that every lady in Bulawayo owns denim and the denim unites us people of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe as a whole. Even the line up itself was inspired by the research we did to make sure that people get to witness on stage the artistes they were longing to see perform,” said Ndebele.
With over two decades in the entertainment scene, Sandy has cemented herself as a pioneer who continues to contribute significantly to the growth of the industry.
Through her Sanditainment stable, she has nurtured emerging talent, providing a springboard for both female and male creatives in the city. Her commitment to elevating Bulawayo’s cultural pulse is evident in events such as “Denim on Pearls,” which blend community identity with world class showmanship.
As the date draws closer, the party is poised to become a hallmark of Bulawayo’s social calendar — a glittering fusion of denim clad confidence and pearl like elegance.
More than a belated birthday bash, it sets the tone for 2026’s entertainment renaissance, promising a night where safety, style and stellar performances converge. — @MbuleloMpofu
