ZIMBABWE-BORN South African film legend Luthuli “Uncle Stan” Dlamini, who had been away for the past 20 years, took his trip to Harare last week to reconnect with his family in Harare.

Dlamini, better known by his stage name “Uncle Stan,” for his role on ETV soapie, Scandal, admitted he was home sick when he met some of his family members at the house of his brother, Stanley.

The actor also took the chance to slaughter a goat and filmed scenes set to feature in some of his upcoming productions.

Dlamini posted a picture of him and his brother Stanley.

The image generated excitement among some of his followers and friends who praised him for his homecoming trip.

Some even suggested he had returned home to appease his ancestral spirits.

“It was good to catch up with my brother. It’s been ages since we met but we always had a healthy communication with each other.

“He also recorded a few scenes he will be including in his forthcoming films,” said Stanley.

Dlamini flew back to his base in South Africa yesterday.

In December last year, Dlamini rubbished rumours that he had fallen on hard times, had become homeless and was living in an abandoned house in Randburg.

The film and television star is also starring in an upcoming movie “The Last Breath”.

Dlamini has also played roles on a number of South African soapies including Generations, Uzalo, Jacob’s Cross, Rockville, Room and Tempy Pushas.
