Schwarzenegger, Thompson reunite at ceremony

They starred together in the 1994 film “Junior”. But, twenty years on, and there’s clearly still a bond between British actress Emma Thompson and Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.  The pair were seen laughing and joking before embarking on a friendly embrace at the Empire Film Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Sunday night.

Regarded as a relaxed end to the awards show season, the Jameson Empire Awards celebrate the film industry’s success stories with winners being voted for entirely by members of the public.

Keeping her look simple, the “Saving Mr Banks” star teamed her pristine dress with a pair of towering black platform heels and a matching clutch bag, making for a chic monochrome look. Emma kept her accessories to a minimum, opting for simple gold drop earrings and a matching, delicate bangle, while wearing her honey blonde locks coiffed into a glamorous chignon.

Meanwhile, Arnold looked dapper in a sharp, grey suit with a striped tie. Together, the pair looked delighted to have re-connected at the annual ceremony – in which they both picked up an accolade for their work.

They both seemed delighted to be back in each others’ company, remaining tactile and light-hearted throughout the platonic exchange. Some time later, Emma as seen keeping it real as she left the venue without her shoes on. Revealing a pair of perfectly manicured feet capped with a flash of burgundy-coloured nail polish, the star was clearly feeling footloose.

An assistant carried her award to her vehicle as she navigated the crowds with a smile on her face. Others, however, retained a strict level of decorum when leaving the Grosvenor House Hotel.

Simon Pegg looked fantastic in a tween, three-piece suit, while Johnny Vegas even appeared to have made an effort in a metallic grey suit.

Keen to promote her planed solo career, former Girls Aloud star was another unlikely guest seen leaving the party, while Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie looked stunning in a red gown. She took home Best Female Newcomer for her role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street. – Dailymail.
