THEY have played only two matches in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League but newboys Scotland FC are already creating a buzz.
Club owner, Scott Sakupwanya, said he assembled the club within just 48 hours and insists more will come from his new pet project.
They have won their opening two games, including a stunning 2-0 win over favourites MWOS at the Heart Stadium last Friday, in the shock result of the first two weeks of the season.
They are now targeting signing former Soccer Star of the Year, Denver Mukamba.
Five bus loads of fans, including nyau dancers, were ferried from Mabvuku to cheer the Scots at the Heart Stadium.
With MWOS also bringing in a number of buses, which ferried their fans from Norton, the showdown had the sights, and sounds, which illuminate football matches.
“A colleague invited me to watch a Division One soccer match between Scotland FC and MWOS,” wrote Tendai Chirau on Facebook.
“Scotland FC is owned by the legislator for Mabvuku/Tafara Constituency, Honourable Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya.
“Scotland FC won the match by two goals to nil. Division one matches are interesting and they do attract the crowds.”
Prophet Passion Java was part of the crowd at the Heart Stadium and so were a number of businessmen involved in the quest for black empowerment.
