SCOTTLAND…………6
REST OF PSL……..…3
THEY are making all the headlines in the domestic Premiership, just two games into the new season, and now they have even crept into the discussions about the Warriors.
Newboys Scottland have provided SIX players into the squad named by coach Michael Nees which will feature in the World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Nigeria.
Walter Musona, Khama Billiat, Mthokozisi Msebe, Peter Muduwa, Tymon Machope and Godknows Murwira are the six players from Scottland.
With nine players being drawn from the domestic Premiership, it means that Scottland have provided twice the number of players than the other three clubs, who are represented, combined. Dynamos, MWOS and Simba Bhora are the other three clubs who have provided players.
DeMbare have provided Emmanuel Jalai, MWOS have provided goalkeeper Martin Mapisa while Simba Bhora have Isheanesu Mauchi in the squad.
The other traditional giants, CAPS United and Highlanders, do not have even a single player in the squad.
It’s a measure of the impact that Scottland, who lead the championship race after two games, have made that they can provide six players into the squad.
They are the team with the highest number of players in the Warriors squad.
Their fans can actually brag that each of their players represent every point they have on the board in the championship race.
Scottland have six points from two games.
