THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter pitting hosts Manica Diamonds and flamboyant Harare outfit Scottland is now on everyone’s lips in the Eastern border city birthing huge expectations of a bumper crowd at Sakubva Stadium this afternoon.
Never before has a Premiership match been hyped this much, with people that are not known for their attachment to football also being part of the big conversation.
Apparently, Scottland now seem to command considerable support in Mutare, if their replica jerseys visible in most public spaces, is anything to go by.
Manicaland Rugby Secretary General Casper ‘Belt’ Bandi said he foresees an exciting match.
“I think it isgoing to be an exciting game with the way this game has be hyped for the past two weeks around Mutare. Scotland also have a huge following in Mutare and of course Manica Diamonds fans will come out in numbers to support their team. l think Sakubva Stadium will be packed and l am looking forward to having goals from both teams. l think it’s going to be a cracker,” he said.
