SCOTTLAND are taking advantage of the Unity Cup to spread their brand to fans in the United Kingdom.
The champions sent their secretary-general, Fortune “Giant” Bgwoni, to spearhead that mission.
While the club are mainly targeting Zimbabweans based in the United Kingdom, they have said that they will also spread their gospel to other African communities based in that country.
They are also targeting British fans, especially football fans in Scotland whom they believe could be charmed by the similarities of their identities.
Bgwoni yesterday paid a courtesy call on Zimbabwean Ambassador to Britain, Colonel Katsande, at Zimbabwe House in London.
He handed over Scottland memorabilia, including their 2026 jersey and scarfs. Scottland have always tried to use every opportunity available to market their brand. They have exhibited their club at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society. Scottland will make their debut in the CAF Champions League this year after winning the domestic Premiership in their debut campaign last year.
