NEWBOYS Scottland missed a glut of scoring opportunities but were still full value for their money as they subdued giants CAPS United at Rufaro on Sunday.
Second-half goals from Namibian Sadney Urikhob and Tymon Machope handed the Mabvuku side their second win in as many games.
Warriors coach Michael Nees and his assistant Takesure Chiragwi, who are expected to name their squad this week for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Benin and Nigeria, were part of the large and lively crowd at Rufaro.

Scottland were guilty of squandering numerous scoring opportunities, with Panashe Mutimbanyoka the main culprit. However, credit must be given to CAPS United’s new goalkeeper, Harmony Nare, who made a string of brilliant saves to keep the scoreline respectable.
Machope eventually broke the deadlock in the 47th minute with a composed finish after receiving a well-placed pass from Khama Billiat inside the box.
CAPS United tried to claw their way back into the game, but Scottland goalkeeper Talbert Shumba denied them at least twice in the latter stages of the match.
Scottland’s second-half substitute, Sadney Urikhob, sealed the victory in added time after receiving the ball from fellow substitute, Albert Manenji.
Khama Billiat and Mthokozisi Msebe returned from injury and were immediately included in the starting XI.
