Ambitious Premiership side Scottland continued with their trend setting in domestic football by unveiling partnerships for their membership drive.
Scottland yesterday unveiled a partnership with Ecobank and Discovery Ambulances, which seeks to empower fans with financial and medical opportunities.
Addressing a press conference at the club headquarters in the capital, Scottland chairman, Tonderai “Pound” Sakupwanya said the club wanted to lead in giving fans a reason to be part of a football club.
“Today we are taking a bold step in strengthening the bond between the club and supporters through the launch of our official membership programme.
“It is a norm here that when you are a club member you do not have benefits that entail you being a club member.
“But today we want to redefine, what is the membership of a club.”
The membership drive has a five-tier system, which will see members accessing loans and medical cover while also enjoying discounts on selected products from the club
With the Ecobank membership partnership the members will be entitled to bank loans which range from US$1000 to US$4000 depending on the tier chosen.
With the Discovery Ambulances package, members will be entitled to 24-hour immediate re-sponse of an air and road ambulance priority, hospital cash plan and funeral cover.
The club also unveiled a partnership with Booties Pharmacy.
Sakupwanya said the membership program was inclusive.
“This initiative is not just about football, it’s about empowering our members with exclusive experiences, financial opportunities and medical opportunities,” said Sakupwanya.
“Whether you’re a devoted fan or you’re a business-minded supporter, we have crafted a membership tier that suits you, so everybody’s covered even if you are a Caps United, Dynamos, Highlanders fan.
“What we are offering is something that makes football fans be part of the club hence this partnership is about building a relationship with the fans,” said Sakupwanya.
