AMAPIANO sensation Scotts Maphuma did it in grand style on Sunday — driving the latest Rolls Royce into Rufaro to cheer his favourite local club Scottland in their titanic battle against Highlanders.
The ‘eGoli’ hitmaker made it clear that he was in town to support the domestic Premiership newboys by wearing a Scottland winter jacket.
He was not the only foreign national in the VVIP enclosure.
Dexter Blackstock, who played as a forward for Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest and represented Antigua and Barbuda national team, was also in the crowd.
Blackstock is based in England.
Just a few weeks ago, former Liverpool and England forward, Emile Heskey, was also at Rufaro dressed in a Scottland jersey.
Scotts Maphuma was all smiles after the match, as he celebrated the Scotts narrow 2-1 win, while chatting with some of the club’s officials.
Later in the night, Scotts staged a gig at Pergola night club at Long Chen Plaza.
It was dubbed the after party of the big match and while the majority of the people were Scottland fans, there was a sizable number of Bosso fans at the gig.
He took to the stage shortly after midnight and his appearance sent his fans into ecstasy.
He didn’t disappoint, too, showing that he was a master of his game as he played some trending Amapiano beats.
The chemistry between him and the fans was evident.
Scotts Maphuma is now one of the top Amapiano stars in South Africa.
He has developed a very close relationship with the Scottland leadership in recent months.
It could not be established last night whether the Amapiano star was hired for the after party or he just came to have a nice time with his friends at the Premiership newboys.
Whatever the arrangement, what is clear is that the big Scottland matches are turning into quite a show, attracting some of the big names from across the region and even from as far as England.
