Search for eight Labour Court judges continues

The search for eight judges of the Labour Court is ongoing, with 13 candidates set to participate in public interviews in Harare today.

The interviews will extend into tomorrow, featuring a second group of 14 aspirants.

This process is being conducted in accordance with Section 180 of Zimbabwe’s Constitution.

The Judicial Service Commission received 53 nominations for the Labour Court positions.

Six nominations were deemed invalid, while two were withdrawn.

April 14, 2025, 45 candidates took the first-level examination, with 28 qualifying for the public interviews.

However, one candidate later withdrew, leaving a total of 27 candidates for the interviews.

Ten commissioners, including the Chief Justice, Judge President, and Chief Magistrate, are conducting the interviews.
