SELF-STYLED PROPHET, FACING RAPE CHARGES, CARRIED INTO COURT

SELF-STYLED prophet, Joseph Muzeya, who is facing rape allegations, experienced mob justice and had to be carried into court yesterday.

Muzeya allegedly raped a 19-year-old-girl who had approached him seeking spiritual deliverance.

He forced himself on her repeatedly saying it was a way to remove evil spirits.

He would call her on various occasions saying she was being haunted by evil spirits.

Muzeya appeared before magistrate, Marewanazvo Gofa, and was remanded in custody to July 3.

He is facing rape and aggravated indecent assault charges.
