SENIOR Experten Services (SES), a German business support organisation, has offered to mentor companies across all sectors by giving technical assistance and expert advice.

The assistance is expected to help local companies to enhance their production efficiency and competitiveness.

In its monthly newsletter, ZimTrade said:

“SES is the leading German volunteer placement organisation for retired skilled and management professionals,”

“It is supported by more than 10,000 senior experts from more than 80 different industries. The organisation has been active in over 160 countries, offering assistance to corporates, SMEs and Government institutions.”

Their services are diverse and range from highly technical fields like mining and engineering to less-technical fields such as tourism and social services

The organisation has been active in over 160 countries, offering assistance to Corporates, SMEs and Government Institutions.

SES country representative Mr Bernd Doppelfeld is enthusiastic about the prospects of the programme. “Our experts are dedicated and they’ll deliver solutions without placing a financial burden on local companies,” he said.

SES has been active in Zimbabwe and has offered assistance to some local companies such as Femina Garments.

The organisation has rendered assistance to companies in Nicaragua, Cambodia, China and Ethiopia.

In Ethiopia, a company in Addis Ababa employing 12 people produces food, herbal mixtures and cosmetics for the international market.

The company requested a Senior Expert to improve quality control and to determine the correct pectin content of jam.

The expert showed them suitable methods and also conducted a fair trade shop where the products are presently sold.
