Seven men gunned down in KwaZulu-Natal

They were believed to be part of an anti-stock theft group, said Colonel Vincent Mdunge.

“The police were combing the area and found the seventh body in the bushes in the same area.”

He was found late on Friday night, said Mdunge.

The group on Thursday apprehended a man suspected of stock theft and took him to the Nkunzini area, where they ordered him to point out the location of the stolen cattle, said Mdunge.

They assaulted him during this time, and a resident who saw what was happening confronted them.

An argument ensued and the resident then mobilised residents, who cornered the group and shot them.

Police were still investigating the murders and searching the area, Mdunge said.
No arrests have been made yet. — Sapa.
