Seven suspected drug dealers arrested along Mukuvisi River

Seven suspected drug dealers have been arrested at a bushy area along Mukuvisi River and police recovered mbanje and packets of biscuits laced with drugs.

The suspects are assisting police with investigations.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrests.

“On March 12, 2025, police in Harare arrested seven suspects at a bushy area along Mukuvisi River, Mbare, for unlawful possession of broncleer, several sachets of dagga and packets of biscuits laced with drugs,” he said.

The suspects are Takunda Wayne (18), Monga Ndava (40), Berven Kepekepe (32), Bezel Marundira, Timothy Takavaedza, Tawanda Tembo and Pedzisai Mutasa.

Meanwhile, police in Darwendale also intercepted a Bolt Cutter bus at the 21 km peg along Inkomo-Darwendale Road and arrested the bus conductor, Dominic Matyora, for smuggling unregistered medicines and second-hand clothes.

In another case, detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics, Mashonaland West Province, arrested Champion Munsaka (55) in connection with the unlawful cultivation of dagga at Blackwood Farm, Chinhoyi.
