INNOVATIVE sex workers and escort agencies in the country have established an exotic services website where clients can pay for various services including kinky sex and homosexual services via international banking services.Some of the international banking platforms that individuals can pay via include MasterCard, Visa Card, Maestro, Visa Electron, Discover and JCB international banking card, with the hosts of the service maintaining that this “discreet form of banking is for your privacy”.
According to the website — bdsmzimbabwe.com — their main specialty is to “mix pleasure and pain”, popularly known as BDSM.
BDSM is an overlapping abbreviation of Bondage and Discipline (BD), Dominance and Submission (DS), Sadism and Masochism (SM) and involves a variety of erotic practices involving dominance and submission, roleplaying, restraint, and other interpersonal dynamics.
These recent developments come at a time when the Censorship Board of Zimbabwe ordered an edit of the erotic movie Fifty Shades of Grey, an R-rated film adaptation of EL James’ book of the same name, which explores themes of bondage and domination in sex.

For one to subscribe to the site they have to pay the premium fee of up to $27,99 for one month.
When this reporter subscribed to the site to investigate its operations, one of the administrators, Sammy G, who is said to be an “Expert Match Maker”, sent him an email emphasising that this is a new innovative way of dating.

We strive to give you the best online dating experience possible and are here to answer any question you may have. We hope that you find what you are looking for, on our website, and that it is easy to navigate.
“Interaction between members and contacts are left solely to our members, as we keep our members’ privacy. The basic free service allows you to create an account, upload photos, upload videos, use the chat room, search profiles, and send flirts. As a free member, you will not be able to initiate an email conversation, but you will be able to reply to email messages from any Premium member. As a Premium member you will also be able to see the videos uploaded by other members at the site, as well as all their photos,” said the administrator.
When this reporter paid for the premium service he was immediately “connected”, with the administrator claiming that they had 1 571 service providers close to Bulawayo.
“I offer various services according to your liking all you have to do is that we agree on a price, you forward a deposit fee, you arrange a public meeting place like a hotel then you choose the type of service that you are interested in.
“Your money is your key to me. I charge as per what type of service you want, if you want just simple sex I start from $30, while kinky sex can go up to $100 depending on how dangerous it becomes,” said one of the ladies who responded to this reporter, named Pindlies, who claimed she was based in South Africa.
Sunday News further managed to convince one of the escorts in the city, who stays in Lobengula West and she revealed that hers was a business, claiming she had started operating in South Africa before relocating to Zimbabwe.
“I was a prostitute in South Africa when my friends introduced me to this trade. I then discovered that this was a lucrative way of making money as I could charge any amount depending on the level of danger the sex positions pose. Most of my clients are also rich people hence it was easy to charge as I will.
“When I came back to Zimbabwe a couple of months ago, initially to visit, I discovered that this trade was also here. I can tell you that just one pick-up is enough to pay someone for just one month as some people are willing to pay as much as $400 for a whole night session. However, we have to pay a fraction of our earnings to our handlers but the amount is fair,” said the escort.
