Shabanie approach Zifa over coach

Shabanie Mine coach Wilson Mutekede is set to take over as the new Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) Technical Director which leaves the team without a head coach.

In the wake of this, the club is talking to the football mother body, to give them the chance to look for another coach, before losing Mutekede to Zifa.

The club wants the coach to continue with his duties at club level, while they engage with different coaches and find the right candidate, for the post which the new Zifa Technical Director will leave.

The club chairman Elias Marufu, believes that the Zifa executive will understand their situation and give them that chance to have the coach for now.

a?We know that Wilson (Mutekede), has already started his work at Zifa, as he is around the country right now but, we hope that the powers that may be at Zifa, will understand our plea and help us to have the coach, when he is free until we find his replacement. We know itas not easy for both parties and we believe they will see the reason why we want the coach to help us for now,a? Marufu concluded.

In the two games so far this season, Mutekede drew with Caps United before beating Highlanders to collect four points. – supersport.com
