Shamu condoles Mutambudzi family

Mutambudzi (77) died on Wednesday morning at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.
He was suffering from prostate cancer.

In his message, Minister Shamu said the ministry was deeply pained to learn of the death of Major Mutambudzi’s father.
“We mourn the passing on of a pillar of strength, an oasis of sound advice, sympathy, love and comfort and a play time partner for you and your two brothers as well as his seven grandchildren,” he said.

Minister Shamu said a father is one of the most important persons in one’s life.
“The significance of an engaging father like Baba Mutambudzi in the lives of his children can never be over emphasised.
“Children with engaging fathers always do better in school and life and have a greater motivation to succeed, which is what we are witnessing from you as you superintend over the operations of the Ministry’s department of Urban Communications.”

“We pray that you will have the courage to face this difficult situation in the knowledge that love provided by a special person who is no more leaves an everlasting memory no one can steal,” he said.

Mr Mutambudzi will be buried at Gaure Farm in Norton tomorrow.
