A MUTARE man has approached the courts praying for a protection order against his pregnant second wife he accused of harassment.Bernard Samunda told Mrs Yekuai Chigodora that his second wife, Beauty Manditsera, was a thorn in the flesh.

“Your Worship my wife is harassing me. Sometimes she acts strange and forces me out of the house because I have another family that I stay with.

“At one point she told me that she did not love me anymore and I told her parents. Since then I have not visited her house.

“When I left her parent’s house she followed me during the night and threatened me with death. She now visits my place of residence with the other family members and insults me.”

In response, Manditsera said Samunda was lying as he wanted to divorce her.

“I dispute all that he has said Your Worship because he wants to divorce me. We had a misunderstanding in October and he said we should visit my parents.

“When we got there he told them that I had said I do not love him and he dumped me.

“He has not been taking care of me for over a year now, but he sometimes visits my house.

“I do not want him to visit my house anymore Your Worship,” said Manditsera

In her ruling magistrate, Mrs Chigodora said Samunda could not be barred from visiting Manditsera as the two have a family together.

The protection order was granted on both parties.
