‘Shebeen queen’, colleague in tussle for hubby

Rhoda Nhamo.
Dzingirai told the court that Nhamo is now collecting her husband’s salary and making him neglect his children.

“This woman goes to my husband’s workplace and collects his salary. He is no longer looking after his children because of her.

“She also comes to my house and assaults me demanding that I move out so that she can stay with my husband,” she said.

In her response Nhamo told the court that Dzingirai is just a “shebeen queen” who has turned the house she rents into a shebeen.
“Dzingirai is nothing but a shebeen queen.

“I love my beer and I only go to her shebeen to buy what she sells.
“I stopped going to her shebeen after she started alleging that I am seeing her husband.

“Her husband also drinks beer, so shouldn’t I enter beerhalls because her husband is inside?” she said.
Magistrate Ms Miriam Banda said she was convinced that acts of violence were being perpetrated against the applicant.
Nhamo was therefore ordered to observe peace towards Dzingirai.
