SHRINE DEATH COVER-UP! Body hidden in bed as ‘prophet’ and flock try to mask murder

B-Metro Reporter

A FAKE prophet and her followers have been arrested in a murder cover-up after a church ritual in Kwekwe ended in death.

Charity Mafirowanda (46), a self-proclaimed spiritual healer, was arrested along with eight of her loyal congregants following the death of Micky Chuma (54), who was allegedly given a mysterious concoction meant to exorcise evil spirits.

Instead of salvation, Chuma died on the spot.

In a desperate attempt to cover their tracks, Mafirowanda and her crew allegedly carried the body from the shrine to the victim’s house and placed it on the bed before covering it with blankets, pretending he had died peacefully at home.

The arrested congregants are Talent Khumalo (42), Bongani “Paraffin” (33), Admire Makota (23), Ronald Mandiedza (24), Margret Zireba (21), Lyton Ndlovu (19), Arnold Mashiri (23), and Pauline Banda (33).

Police on X, said investigations are ongoing and warned against trusting untrained individuals with matters of health and life.

Mbizo residents are reeling in shock as the so-called shrine of deliverance is now branded a death trap.
