MUTARE Sports Club will tomorrow (Saturday) take on Bulawayo side Old Miltonians at Hartsfield in Bulawayo as the National Rugby League resumes after a two-week break. The match kicks off at 3pm. This will be the first match of the second round games. In their last encounter against OMS at home, the Shumbas came from behind to seal an 18-15 victory with a try in the dying last minutes of the match.
OMS team manager Theo Weale was disappointed and will be definitely motivating his team to ensure a win on their home turf against the Shumbas.

MSC chairman Moss Kapumha said the team was confident and determined to win in Bulawayo.
“Bulawayo has a tough crowd and the referees are sometimes biased, but we will go prepared to play our game and put more points on the board.

“We held them last time and we can do better even though we will be away,” said Kapumha.
While OMS is currently sitting on position six on the log with 13 points, the Shumbas are trailing right behind on position seven with nine points.

A victory in this match will be critical for the Shumbas to go up the ladder.
With their next match at home against the league punch bags, Zvishavane Bulls, a double win might even push them further up to position five on the log.

The second round of the NRL is expected to be exciting given the upsets seen in the first round.
Defending champions Old Hararians will hope to get bonus points and close the gap to beat Harare Sports Club currently soaring flawless with 36-points.
