Shurugwi man killed over US$15

TWO men have been arrested after they fatally assaulted a 23-year-old man following an argument over a US$15 debt.

The victim, Oliver Gwama, was assaulted with unknown objects and was found dead near Blooming Lilly Mine, Shurugwi.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“Police in Shurugwi have arrested Jabulani Mutami aged 39 and Tawanda Zimuto aged 27 in connection with a case of murder that occurred at Majachani Business Centre on September 15. Nicholas Gwande is on the run.

“Mutami, Zimuto and Gwande took turns to assault Gwama following an argument over US$15 which the victim owed Gwande.

Commissioner Nyathi said anyone with information that might assist with investigations should contact the nearest police station.
