Simba Bhora face another test

Simba Bhora will be looking to extend their unbeaten home run when they host newcomers Bikita Minerals to Wadzanai on Saturday.

Simba Bhora are going into Match Day 25 as log leaders, two points clear of second-placed FC Platinum.

Simba Bhora are enjoying a purple patch, they are one of the only three teams without defeat in their last five games.

With just 10 games remaining, all seems to be on course for the ambitious Shamva-based side.

Simba Bhora head coach Tonderai Ndiraya is one difficult coach to beat at home and he is living up to his reputation.

They have turned their home into a fortress that is difficult to breach.

With a star-studded side full of depth, a technically shrewd coach, a financed ambitious owner, and an all-valiant supporting base, the story of Simba Bhora looks like a flawless script in heaven.

But all that glitz and glamour is inspiring Bikita Minerals to steal the show when the two sides clash.

Bikita Minerals have already put a dent on another title contender FC Platinum after edging them 1-0 last week.

Carlos Mukumbira, who scored the only goal that sank Platinum, is eager to make his impact felt against Simba.

Mukumbira has played an integral part in the success that has been registered by Bikita Minerals. He has four goals and seven assists, an outstanding performance in his debut season.

He believes they will keep the momentum they gained in their previous match against Simba.

“Having another goal against FC Platinum felt good, I was expecting that after I scored another goal against them in the first round.

“The best feeling was that we managed to get all the maximum points we needed. We as a team still have the biggest mandate of making sure that our side doesn’t drop points and winning games is a big boost.

“The team would like to keep on winning every game we play but the challenges keep on coming in different shapes and sizes.

“You look at Simba; they are a much-organised side that is difficult to beat at home but we have a game plan. We will look forward to sticking to our game plan and see what comes out of it.

“We are garnering for a win but if it fails we would want to settle for a draw,” he said.
