POPULAR video producer, Simbarashe Gwati, affectionately known as Simba Gee has pulled a surprise and released a seven-track musical album, The Construction.
Many know him as a renowned videographer who has shot several videos for many established musicians such as Stunner, Trae Yung and Sani Makhalima.
He has embarked on a new journey by unleashing an Afro-pop project that also carries a rather peculiar samba beat.
Tracks on the album are Ndaikuda, Kumuona, Munondirangarira, Cherisa, Though I was to lie (featuring Trae Yung), Ndimambara and a remix for Ndaikuda.
It was recorded at TMG Records.
The 25-year-old dynamic artiste said he did not venture into music by default, but his passion for art dates back to year 2000.
“This is a dream come true. I always wished to take my music to a higher level and coming up with a musical project is the beginning of better days ahead in the arts industry.
“There is a thin dividing line between video graphing and audio music. You have to be an artiste for both things to work. So I am happy to have allowed the lion in me to roar. Most of the songs on the album are love jams and appeal to all age groups. I hope my fans will be inspired,” said the elated former Mutare Boys’ High School student.
