A SAKUBVA woman was arraigned before the courts last week for allegedly insulting her husband’s girlfriend, thereby breaching a standing court order which barred her from doing so.
Theresa Muchinazvo of House Number 195, Chitungo, Sakubva appeared before senior Mutare magistrate, Mrs Sekai Chiundura, charged with contempt of court as defined in Section 182 of The Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Representing the State was Mr Fletcher Karombe.
The court heard that Muchinazvo impaired the dignity, reputation and authority of the court by visiting Mildred Nyamubika and struck her windowpane with an iron bar before insulting her. “On March 18, at around 5am, Muchinazvo visited Nyamubika’s residence and peeped into her house through the window. She struck the windowpane with an iron bar. The windowpane developed a crack on it.
