Sniper Storm to lead

ZIMDANCEHALL musician Sniper Storm is tomorrow expected to lead events during the free distribution of the newly released Sunshine Riddim to be held in the city centre.

The distribution of the CDs carrying the new offer was initially slated for Wednesday but the organisers decided to move it to tomorrow after noting that some of the musicians to take part during the distribution exercise will be travelling to South Africa for some shows.

Directors for Kuwadzana Extension-based studios told The Herald Entertainment that they decided to move the event to tomorrow after realising that some of the artistes to take part in the distribution process will be travelling to South Africa for some shows over the weekend.

Sunshine Family Studios produced the riddim and they are responsible for marketing and distribution of the product.

“We had planned to freely distribute the Sunshine Riddim on Wednesday but we have changed to Tuesday (tomorrow).

“This was after we noted that there are some artistes who are part of the Sunshine Family who will be travelling to South Africa for shows.

“As organisers we felt that they should be part of the whole process and as such we decided to change the date.

“We promised Zimdancehall fans to mix and mingle with the artistes during the distribution process and it defies trust if we fail to stick to our promises.

“Other upcoming artistes who are willing to join the Sunshine Family will get a rare opportunity to interact with the producers,” said Sunshine Studios boss Samuel Saungweme.

He also said that the National Aids Council and Savanna Tobacco will partner Sunshine Family Studios during the event.

“The National Aids Council and Savanna Tobacco showed interests in taking part.

“We look forward to continue working with the NAC and hope to pen and produce songs for awareness campaigns. As Sunshine Family Studios we have noted that Zimdancehall artistes are not much into such programmes and we are planning to have more material in that regard,” he said. Artistes such as Freeman, Killer T, Princo Spice, Jerry B, Kinnah, Guspy Warrior, Lady Squanda Lipsy and producers Shelthang, Rodney and Tynash are expected to team up for the event.
