adminablaze with hit songs “Mangoma Aya” and “Wainira Musoja”. In its first week of release “Wainira Musoja” found its way onto the biggest local dancehall show on Star FM hosted by the Godfather of Dancehall Templeman.
The song battled it out with other dominant dance tracks from the likes of Guspy Warrior’s “Seunononga” and Ricky Fire. The song stood its ground reaffirming Sniper’s post as the “General” in dancehall music.
“Wainira Musoja is a festive track that talks about a gunman who after getting his salary and bonus rushes off to have a time of his life in a nightclub.
“Although everything in the song is pure fiction I would like to set the record straight that I am not implying that soldiers behave in such a manner” he said.
Sniper Storm revealed that his album “Dongfang”, which was set for release in late November, will be on the market next month. He was ecstatic about the success of the singles that he has been unleashing as a way of teasing his fans.
“To date, six out of the 15-track album have come out and the response has been overwhelming. I am getting positive response from people from all corners including on social networks,” he said.
Other singles from the project include “Sungura”, “Voodoo” from the Jamaican “Voodoo Riddim”, “Ma’number” where he is bragging about hit songs he has made in the past two years. “Bhadhara” has also proved to be a favourite with many as he sings about a person demanding payment after completing his job.
The “Love Yemusoja” hitmaker also spoke on rivalry in the dancehall stressing that it kept him on his shoes.
“As much as we do not like haters they are necessary if one is to stay on top of his game. Competition is healthy otherwise people would not give you a second glance if you were not a threat somehow,” he said.
