SOCCER: Harare City FC unveils technical team

Ambitious Premiership side Harare City football club has unveiled a high powered technical team headed by Taurai Mangwiro while forgotten former Dynamos coach Elvis “Chuchu” Chiweshe has also bounced back into the limelight.

Mangwiro heads the first team technical bench that has Mike Madzivanyika (assistant coach attacking), Mukuphali Masuku (assistant coach defense) and Witness Munkuli (goalkeepers’ coach).

David George will lead the junior development program where Chiweshe will be in charge of the club academy while former City first team coach Masimba Dinyero will be responsible for council schools’ soccer development.

Mangwiro has been given a top six target and revealed that he will begin by reviewing the squad at hand before making any changes.

“I think I deserve peace after what happened to my career last year. I am not taking anything away from Caps United but you saw what happened there,” he said.

There is a strong possibility that Mangwiro will bring one or two players from Makepekepe although he refused to shed more light during the unveiling ceremony.
