A 26-YEAR-OLD woman from Braeside, Harare, is at the centre of a scandalous sex-for-cash operation that was exposed by police after a “massage parlour” in Hillside turned out to be a front for prostitution.
Acting on a midday tip-off on 9 May 2025, detectives stormed the premises and arrested four women who were allegedly offering erotic massages and sexual services for a fee. But the real shock came when a cool and composed woman stepped forward, claiming to be their employer.
She was promptly arrested after failing to produce a valid licence for operating a beauty parlour.
“The place was being advertised online as a massage parlour, but investigations revealed it was a well-coordinated front for prostitution,” confirmed the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ)
Appearing in court, the accused pleaded guilty to three counts: soliciting for the purpose of prostitution, living off prostitution, and operating without a licence.
For Count 1, she was fined US$30 or 1 month in jail if unpaid.
Counts 2 and 3 were treated as one, and she was hit with a US$100 fine or 2 months behind bars in default.
“This case is a clear reminder that social media is now being used to peddle vice. We will continue cracking down on these illicit operations masquerading as legitimate businesses,” said the NPAZ in a hard-hitting statement.
