SOCIAL worker and anti-drug abuse campaigner, Jack Willow, reckons the struggle is real.
Willow, who has been holding awareness campaigns around the country, wraps up his 2022 outreach programmes with an “All Stars 2022 Shutdown Street Party” in Highfield tomorrow.
Highfield is one of the high-density suburbs where cases of alcohol, drug and substance abuse are rampant.
“We have designed this event to end the year on a high note and use the platform to drive our youths away from substance and drug abuse.
“We say ‘NO TO MUTORIRO’ and we urge all young people to be part of this initiative as we collectively fight against the abuse of drugs,” said Willow.
The event, which also coincides with the Usadherere Studios’ official opening, will see top DJs and artists on rotation along 241 Street, Western Triangle.
Willow has promised an unforgettable night in their backyard.
“Everything is going according to plan, the stage is set and all the artists have confirmed their attendance.
“A full bar and catering is also in place and we will have a fireworks display after the countdown just to add more fun to the event,” he said.
The new studio, has potential to give a chance to all budding artists in Highfield as it embraces producers from all genres.
Those who prefer VIP treatment will pay US$5 for the service, while rest will gain free entrance.
Organisers say they also have a surprise and urged residents to flood the street, have fun and shutdown 2022 in style.
The event starts at 6pm.
