GOING commando is not an option!
A Kwekwe-based soldier is alleged to have caused discomfort at home with his booze-fueled strip shows.
Similo Ndlovu said her husband Witness Chawodza emotionally disturbs their three children and other family members with his impromptu strips shows whenever under the influence of alcohol.
Ndlovu (37) claimed that whenever she tries to reprimand her 41-year-old husband for his weird actions, he turns violent.
a?I am customarily married to Witness Chawodza and we have three children together. He is violent and has beaten me up on several occasions the latest being on 12 June. He labels me a prostitute because before we got married I had two children with different men.
a?Another issue is that whenever he takes alcohol he walks around stark naked and in full view of the children. He really exposes his private parts no matter who is in the house and his conduct is now emotionally and psychologically disturbing our children,a? said Ndlovu who pleaded for a protection order against her husband.
A remorseful Chawodza, however, disputed his wifeas claims.
He said the only occasion he walked stark naked in the house was after a domestic dispute in which he pursued his wife fromA the bedroom while in his birthday suit after she fled to the sitting room where her sister was.
a?What she is saying is not true. The only occasion I walked naked in the house was after a heated domestic dispute. It was around 10pm when we had a misunderstanding in our bedroom.
a?What happened is that at the height of the domestic dispute she bolted out of the bedroom to the sitting room before I also pursued while I was naked. During that time our children were fast asleep and the only person who was in the sitting room was her elder sister,a? he said.
Chawodza further stated that his wife courted his anger after she deliberately infected him with a sexually transmitted infection.
In his ruling presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova however, ordered Chawodza not to physically or verbally abuse his wife or threaten her in any way.
The magistrate also referred the couple for counselling apparently to save their marriage which is on the brink of collapse.
