Such is the case for an Emganwini man who is living in fear because his wife is always threatening him with death.
Living under the same roof with a knife wielding wife has forced Stephen Hunda to come out of the shell and seek a protection order against Noliwe Shumba.
Whenever a misunderstanding erupts between the couple, Shumba, to silence her husband, arms herself with a knife and in a ninja-like fashion threatens to stab the man to death.
a�?I am applying for a protection order against my wife Noliwe Shumba. She always threatens to stab me with a knife.
It started after we had a misunderstanding over a phone call I had received.
a�?She chases me out of the house and her behaviour is affecting our sons aged 11, nine and three as she wields the knife in front of them and says vulgar language,a�? he said in hisA� affidavit.
Hunda asked the court to stop the woman from insulting him with the unprintable vulgar words which she usually spits in front of their children.
Presiding magistrate Abednico Ndebele granted the protection order in favour of Hunda before ordering the woman to stop abusing her husband and children.
