Solusi University is today hosting the Global Encryption Day commemorations.
The commemoration aims to benefit faculty deans and lecturers from various universities across the country, with basic training on encryption.

Lecturers from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Gwanda State University, BECSA and Solusi University are attending the event.
Encryption is a vital technology ensuring privacy and security for individuals, information and communications.

Global Encryption Day has been celebrated worldwide on October 21, since 2020.
The proceedings are underway, and the focus is on developing encryption advocates in the country’s higher learning institutions.
Attendees are being capacitated to integrate encryption principles into classroom teaching.

Mrs Charity Ncube, Head of Policy and Governance for the Internet Society Zimbabwe Chapter, is leading the proceedings, providing foundation training for lecturers.
By hosting the event, Solusi University is reinforcing its commitment to advancing digital security and privacy in Africa’s academic landscape.
