THE controversial but talented dancehall musician Soul Musaka, popularly known as Soul Jah Love, who has been in the spotlight of late for double bookings and duping promoters, has taken a swipe at the media for making too much noise about his alleged fraudulent tendencies and unprofessionalism yet overlooking the right things he does.
Listening to the lyrics of the song, it seems the Ndini uya uya hit-maker was directly blasting the media for exposing his double booking shenanigans and trickery, particularly when he allegedly soiled himself and failed to turn up for the Platinum shows.
On second occasion, he opted to perform in Beitbridge the same night he was supposed to be in Mutare.
The two incidents subsequently led Mutare-based music promoter Isau Mupfumi to file a police report and the chanter was arrested.
He spent the whole night in police cells before Mupfumi withdrew the charges.
And now the dreadlocked chanter, who is now managed by wife and musician Bounty Lisa, responded by releasing a controversial gem, Kundisvibisa.
Jah Love on the song blasts the media for focusing only on his flaws yet ignoring how he positively inspires ghetto youths.
He said the newspaper carried out the story just for the sake of business.
Goes part of the lyrics, “Paper ravo varikuda kufamba vachindisvibisa…paper richindiwachisa kuda kundinyudzisa, zvanzi chibaba chakakanganisa, asi ndirimunhu wenyama ndine munyama vaoneseiwo pandinogona.
“Vamwe vavo kungonyaudza, kungofamba vachindilouda, kunge ini ndovadaidza.
“Vazviona ini ndovaraidza…vekupaper ndopavanonyepa, nhasi vanoverenga paper mangwanani vanoendesa kutoilet, inini mangwana kustudio ndabudisa futi zvimwe zvimarecords.”
He goes on blaming the newspaper for tarnishing his image.
“Asika varikufamba vachindinyudzisa nepaper ravo varikuda kundisvibisa, chibaba chakanganisa, pane kuti vauye kuzondibudisa.
“Kuda kutengesa chipaper chinonyepa. Mukana wacho ndiwo uno wandashandisa…,” goes part of the loaded song which has gone viral on social networks.
Meanwhile, Chibaba chacho, as Soul Jah Love is affectionately referred to by his legion of fans, put up a top-drawer performance at The Platinum last Saturday.
He stole the show ahead of multi-award-winning wordsmith Jah Prayzah, who did his best with fine but monotonous choreography.
