TWO top Zim dancehall artistes who are currently the hottest property in the music industry — Seh Calaz and Soul Jah Love — are this weekend scheduled to perform at The Platinum (formerly Pick and Save).Calaz, of the “Check Check” signature, will stage a live performance at 8pm tonight (Friday), while Soul Jah Love and

The Conquering Family will meet their legion of Mutare fans tomorrow (Saturday).

While it was going to be one for the archive if the two artistes had performed together during the same night, the show promoter, Isau Mupfumi, said fans should have more time with their beloved artiste separately without any clashes.

It is a public secret that the two artistes have not been best of friends before and after their infamous clash at Sting 2014. The two blamed each other for the ugly violence that flared at the event.

However, apart from their differences, the two artistes are entertainers par excellence and will definitely put the roof on fire when they show up on stage today and tomorrow.

Dancehall has become the most popular genre among fans, particularly ghetto youths and no doubt the refurbished entertainment centre will be a place to be this weekend.

Mupfumi quashed security fears synonymous with dancehall shows saying there will be tight security to ensure that patrons enjoy the shows peacefully.

“Off late we have noticed some tremendous improvement in terms of revellers’ discipline.  We will continue to put maximum security on our gates and inside the venue.  We are proud to bring the two artistes to Mutare and we would like to urge our patrons to come in numbers and celebrate life.

“The level of discipline we witnessed at last weekend’s show was awesome and we hope it will always be like that,” he said.

Mabhanditi Camp boss Seh Calaz boats of tens of hits to his name, these include “Hati Pisike”, “Wandibhilivisa”, “Vaita Vana” and “Mumota murikubvira”.

Soul Jah Love’s rich discography includes “Handichabatika”, “Ndini uya uya”, “Ghetto” and “Zimbabwe”.
