THE Zifa Southern Region Division One League action concluded at the weekend and the league’s affiliates have been praised for high level of professionalism they showcased throughout the year.

ZPC Hwange earned their championship title a few weeks ago, with two games remaining in their campaign in the process securing a spot in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The dominant team’s feat was very impressive under the guidance of Mabelo Njekwa.

ZPC Hwange secretary, Mehluli Thebe, has confirmed that his club will play in the country’s elite football league next season.

“We are happy with the way the clubs conducted themselves this season. It was a professional approach from all our affiliates. Unlike in the past seasons where we had numerous matches not being played as some clubs failed to travel and fulfill away fixtures, this time around, it was not the case. We say congratulations to ZPC Hwange and well done to everyone,” said Zifa Southern Region spokesperson, Blessing Mbwanda.

Casymn, who finished as the first runners up, fell 1-2 at the hands of Victoria Falls City while Bosso 90 thumped city neighbours Bulawayo City 3- 0.
