THE Zifa Southern Region league has retained its long time sponsor a Nokel Security a to bankroll the monthly top-goal scorer award for the 2018 that is already four fixtures into the new campaign.
The partnership between the league and sponsor is now in its sixth year.
Nokel Security director Kenneth Mhlophe said his company is committed to supporting the development of sport and is hopeful that the award will motivate strikers in the First Division.
a?We understand that football has become technical but at the same time fans want to see goals and it is our hope that through our Nokel Security top-goal scorer of the month award, strikers will be more clinical and give us goals.
a?As a company we will continue being supportive to sports development initiatives which benefit the region, ourselves as sponsors and above all motivated athletes,a? said Mhlophe said.
The leading monthly goal scorer is awarded $200.
In addition to awarding monthly top scorers, the company also rewards the player who scores more than 20 goals at the end of the season as a way of motivating strikers.
