AS THE curtain comes down on the year 2018, a number of leisure spots across the city will be open for business, offering a wide range activities and events.
First up is the Signature Bar situated along Robert Mugabe Road, between 9th and 8th Avenues, which will be holding its official opening and maiden New Year’s Eve party.
Signature Bar, which opened its doors about a month ago, will be hosting a live show featuring the illustrious award winning and globetrotting songstress, Nkwali.
Also in the line-up will be Gugue, Seagirl and none other than DJ Mauzah Achuzi House Maestro, who is based in South Africa.
“A string of local DJs will be on rotation during the night. Patrons and revellers will be afforded free entry to the show which is scheduled to kick off at 8pm.
The spot has an outdoor sitting area and will be a hive of activity with lots of activities lined up for the night.
Alcohol and meat is fully stocked and people can enjoy the night with no hassle of running out of their favourite drinks,” said a representative of the bar.
BAC Leisure will also be offering a “wicked” entertainment line-up and activities ranging from braai to an all-night party.
Not to be outdone one of the city’s renowned leisure spots Shisha Bar, which has three branches will be hosting a “Smoke Out” event, where it will be giving out free Shishas to patrons.
Proprietor of the brand Rejoice Dube said they would also take the opportunity to give out membership cards to clientele.
“We will be hosting a smoke out event, where we will be giving out Shishas to people that will be at the club. We will also be giving out free membership cards to the clientele.
Also we have managed to secure local brands of beer and we are fully stocked.
Those that will attend should not be worried about their favourite brand running out,” she said.
Meanwhile, as leisure spots capitalise on the failure to host the annual Kalawa Homecoming concert, a few fans will experience a slice of the cake at the Cosmopolitan Club.
