A 24-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed multiple times and died upon arrival at hospital, in Bulawayo.
The attack occurred around 3:30 AM on Sunday, 10 August, along Joshua M. Nkomo Street between 11th and 12th Avenues.
According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, a security guard was alerted by an unknown man who said the victim, Mphekezeli Freeman Ncube of Pumula, was lying injured by the roadside.
“The now deceased was lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds on the chest and was bleeding profusely,” said Insp Msebele.
An ambulance rushed him to hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have urged the public to shun violence.
“We are appealing to members of the public with information that may lead to the arrest of the accused persons to report to the nearest police station,” Insp Msebele said.
