HIT-AND-RUN HORROR Pedestrian killed on Nketa Drive

A 50-YEAR-OLD man was struck and killed by a motorist in Tshabalala on Sunday night.
The hit-and-run incident occurred around 10:19 PM along Nketa Drive.
According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, the victim, Mark Banda, was “walking along Nketa Drive due south when he was hit by an unknown motorist who was travelling along Nketa Drive due north.”

“The motorist did not stop after the accident to render assistance to the now deceased,” Insp Msebele said.
Banda sustained a deep cut above the left eye and died on the spot. His body was taken to hospital for a post-mortem.

Police have urged drivers to stop and assist whenever an accident occurs.
“We appeal to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the accused to report at any nearest police station,” Inspector Msebele added.
