In what has now become a signature move, Zimbabwe’s leading radio station yesterday launched another listener competition to send two to watch music star Rihanna in the Johannesburg leg of her Diamonds tour on October 13. The promotion was launched on the popular Breakfast Club with two traditional corporate partners — TechTools and FBC Mastercard — expressing pleasure at being part of another promotion with Star FM

“We have been a believer in the station since it started on June 25 last year, which is why we have no hesitation in coming on board for this promotion and the other three previously,” said Walter Wanyanya of Tech Tools, licensed distributors of Apple products in Zimbabwe.

Priscilla Sadomba, head of marketing at FBC, said the FBC MasterCard had been part of the last two Star FM promotions because this was a clear way for people to experience the efficacy of the FBC MasterCard.

“The card works in millions of retail places around the world. This promotion gives a chance to the lucky listeners to experience just how well this card works,” she said.

“We are delighted to partner Star FM in this promotion. We have enjoyed a great and mutually beneficial relationship with the station,” she added.

The winning listeners will be flown to SA, provided with transport in and around Johannesburg and also will receive spending money.
Star FM general manager Admire Taderera commended the two corporates for partnering with the station and said this was indication that these promotions were bringing good returns to the organisations.
