Stars, Iminyela in BSSL derby

AN exciting match is on at Iminyela Grounds when Bulawayo Social Soccer League defending Champions Stars face off with Iminyela. 

Stars have already won Pool A and sealed a spot in the Champion of Champions fixture to be played on 23 December at Dessert Ground in Njube where they will clash with Pool B winners Mthala. 

With Stars being a breakaway team from Iminyela, there is sure to be huge interest in this particular fixture as the season draws to a close. 

Edson Sibanda, the BSSL fixtures secretary said the final round of fixtures is taking place on Saturday before the Champion of Champions is played two days later. Runners-up from the two pools will get to play as curtain raisers for the winners on that day. 

“We are at match day 49. The last is match day 50 to be played Saturday December. On Monday 23 December, Pool A winners play winners of B in a match be played at Desert, Njube. We call it the Champion of Champions,’’ Sibanda said.

Pool A: Mthala v Funda, Congo v Cream Tata, Masters v Vule Vale, Man Utd v Glenkara, Makwee v Edgars, Ndola v Fireworks, Old Timers v Pirates, Stars v Iminyela, 70 Comb v Tigers, Strivers v Z/Chiefs, Legends v Khami, Bullets v Santos, B/Hood v Patapata.

Pool B: Sinyoka v Lobels, Gwabalanda v R/Shwelele, Siyabangena v Shwelele, Bombers v Njube, Pelandaba v Valley, Crackers v Pioneer, Matshobana v Finance, R/Mag v Celtics, Mayihlome v Mabutweni, Zonke v Skippers, NJC Nkulumane, Wembley v Zinwa, Zobha v W/Comm.
