OPENING night tickets for the world’s most anticipated movie, Avengers End Game, are sold out as the Marvel Studios installment premieres on April 25 at Ster Kinekor branches across the country.

The three-hour long movie will be on 3D and tickets were going for RTGS$20.

Ster Kinekor announced on their Facebook page that tickets to watch Avengers End game have been sold out at their branches at the Bulawayo Centre and in Harare at Sam Levy’s Village, Cine Prestige and SK 105.

Tickets went on sale on April 3 and by April 5 they were all sold out for the movie’s opening night.

Comfort Mbaserah of Ster-Kinekor Bulawayo said Avengers End Game was rated as one of the best selling movies at Ster-Kinekor.

“This is one of the best selling movies we have had since the release of Black Panther,” he said.

Mbaserah added that this is the most anticipated movie in years.

“Everyone had been rushing to get a ticket, the vibe around this movie is unique; Avengers is definitely the most anticipated movie of the decade,” he said.

This follows global trends where Avengers End Game tickets have been flying off the shelves in different countries breaking records in the process.

The movie follows Avengers: Infinity War where half of all life in the universe was killed due to the actions of Thanos.

The remaining Avengers and their allies must re-assemble to reverse those actions in one final stand.

Zimbabwe’s Danai Gurira will feature in the movie as part of the storyline through her character Okoye, the head of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female special forces from the block buster Black Panther.

Gurira’s character will feature alongside superheroes such as Ironman, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Antman as they battle the super villain Thanos.
