A 26-year-old man of no fixed aboard was arrested on Tuesday for attempted murder.
George Katiyo was reported to have stabbed Clever Karumbwa on his abdomen following an altercation.
The two are both men of no fixed aboard and roam the streets in the Harare Central Business District.
Clever accused George of stealing his money while he was warming himself by the fire at corner First Street and Robert Mugabe Way.
In the ensuing argument, George produced a pair of scissors and stabbed him once on the abdomen. George tried to flee, and he was apprehended by other street kids who were also present at the scene leading to the arrest.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the arrest.
“Police arrested a man in Harare CBD for attempted murder. The complainant sustained a deep cut on the abdomen.
“The complainant was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical attention,” said Insp Chakanza.
