Musicians Trevor Dongo and Stunner (real name Desmond Chideme) will this Saturday headline Miss Curvy after party to be held at Old Farm House in Masasa.
Miss Curvy grand finale was held recently in Kariba at Caribbea Bay Hotel where 19-year-old Sheila Chikengezha was crowned Miss Curvy 2014.Chantelle Jeradi (19) and Chengetayi Mnisi (20) were crowned first and second princess respectively.
The hip hop rapper, Stunner has promised a polished act where he will also sample some of his new songs.
“This is summer time and people should come and enjoy music as we dine and wine with the curvy ladies. I will be sampling some tracks from my forthcoming album so do not miss out,” he said.
Other musicians who will perform at the party are Pee Kay, who is popularly known for his song “Ma1” on which he collaborated with BaShupi and DX Onesimor.
The pageant’s founder Mercy “Catwalk” Mushaninga said the party is meant for Harare fans to relate with the winners.
“We decided to do an after party after realising that most of our Harare fans did not get the chance to go and witness the grand finale in Kariba. So this will be an opportunity for them to mix and mingle with the winners and the other contestants,” she said.
Mushaninga said the models will display some of their routines during the party.
“The beauty queens are going to sample some of their routines where they will be dancing to music but there won’t be any judges since it is for fun only,” she said.
Mushaninga launched the pageant after she realised that most curvy women shied away from modeling because of the perception that the profession was for tall and slender women.
