Kings will join the duo, which held joint shows for the better part of the year last year.
Although Sulu and Jean sing different genres, they have managed to find a common vein, and somehow, can keep dendera and jazz fans entertained throughout the night.
Their working relationship was last year further strengthened when they collaborated on Jean’s song “Chipo Changu” from her new album “Africa”.
The gig, will also provide an opportune time for Sulu to sample songs from his upcoming album, which he has been playing at most of his shows, since he resumed gigs on January 13.
It also appears that the worst may be over now for Sulu, who recently received a baptism of fire after some of his band members refused to go stage, demanding a review of their salaries.
Hwenjes owner and manager Petros Chigodora said the joint has lined up a number of shows that will spill over into the Easter holidays as part of his plans to open up the venue to several artistes.
Next week, Hwenjes will play host to Peter “Young Igwe” Moyo and the Dembo siblings, Morgan and Tendai.
