SULUMAN Chimbetu’s camp has expressed its delight following the instant impact their latest album, “Tsapo,” has garnered. Launched last weekend in Harare and Chegutu, the album has been embraced by fans as a huge success.

It features 24 tracks of superior quality, including “Timba,” “Hartley,” “Mweya,” “Homwe,” “Wakaipa,” “Ngirozi,” “Chihera,” “Perengende,” “Tuhanda,” “Nyoka,” “Stars,” “Ngwendere,” “Tiite Tiite,” and “Soul N Heart Instrumental.”

Speaking to Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Suluman expressed his joy at the album’s reception.

“It’s like a miracle for us, as fans have truly embraced our new project, judging by the feedback we are receiving. I am humbled by the positive remarks; fans genuinely love our music. This is the kind of support we have been yearning for over the years,” he stressed.

Suluman was also ecstatic about ending a five-year album drought with his eighth project. “

People have been asking me if I would ever release this album, but I was waiting for the perfect time to do so.

“I believe 2025 is the year that God had set aside for me to make this happen, and I am glad we are finally here enjoying good music. I am committed to delivering quality work, which is why it seems we seem to have delayed this project.

“I could not afford to starve my fans for years,” he emphasized.

“A lot happened along the way, including the effects of COVID-19 and various other challenges. Taking a cue from my father, I realsed I had a role in ensuring we produce music with substance. “This is evident in this album, which I believe will be embraced by fans and those with an ear for music,” he added.

After successfully launching the album, Suluman has shifted his focus to videos.

“We can’t afford to starve fans of visuals; our main focus right now is video production.

“ We have allocated a budget for this, and fans should be ready for them. We cannot deprive them of visuals because they resonate well with audiences,” he said.

The Dendera music exponent show that he still has the mojo in this album as he nailed it.

True to its name, “Tsapo,” which can be loosely translated to “full package,”  the album is rich in both texture and appeal.

Credit goes to a talented trio of versatile producers—Knowledge Nkoma, Prince “Oskid” Tapfuma, and Bothwell Nyamhondera—who were involved in this project.

After listening to the album, the opening track, “Timba,” sets a powerful tone, capturing the message of resilience in life.

In a time when many Zimbabweans struggle to make ends meet, Suluman encourages them to remain positive and navigate these challenging times.

The sound quality, arrangement, and vocal delivery are expertly crafted.

This opening track, “Timba,” leaves listeners eager for more as Sulu showcases his artistic flair.

He preaches the gospel of hard work in the song “Perengende,” while his passion for children is evident in the track “Tuhanda.”

Suluman firmly believes in overcoming adversities in the song “Nyoka,” a sentiment that reflects his military background.

Taking a cue from his late father, who sang in English to showcase versatility, Sulu includes two songs—“Stars” and “Hartley”—in the Queen’s language. Other tracks that complete the album include “Mweya,” “Homwe,” “Wakaipa,” “Ngirozi,” “Chihera,” “Ngwendere,” and “Tiite Tiite.”
